2011 OFFICIAL RESULTS
The Wootown Brewers are proud to announce the return of Barley Legal in 2011!
Judging for Barley Legal 2 will be held on October 15, 2011 in Abingdon, MD. The Competition Committee is underway in planning the event, gathering prizes, and organizing the logistics.
Barley Legal 2 will be open to ALL BJCP RECOGNIZED STYLES, unlike its predecessor, and all geographies. In order to increase the value to those who enter, each beer will be eligible to win twice in two separate sets of judging:
a BJCP-style judging session, based upon aroma, appearance, flavor, mouthfeel, and overall impression
a second, thematic, hedonistic judging session based upon a theme to be announced shortly
So if your Black IPA, Wheatwine, or Gruit doesn't take home a BJCP prize because it's not adherent to style, you could still very well take home a prize in the second judging session.
