An extension called "TwitterPing" was just installed that should automatically tweet whenever there is a new post on this site.
Keeping in mind that Twitter's services do go up and down sporadically, so there's no guarantee that it will work every time, since this extension does not retry.

Well, I actually wound up replacing the underpinning Twitter API library and recoding that part of the Extension. Enjoy.
