February 2007 Meeting - Club Meeting
On Monday, February 26, 2007, the February meeting of the Wootown Homebrew club took place at The Thirsty Brewer in Baldwin, MD. The meeting was called to order by President Tom Davidson.

Old Business
1. January meeting at Duclaw’s Brewery was a success and everybody had a good time. Duclaw’s was impressed by the turnout and by the vast array of food brought by the participants to the all day brew. The decision was to limit the number for next year to 3 dozen people. The next outing, pending buy-in and hosting from local and regional brewers, will likely be scheduled for January 2008 around and between the playoff games of the NFL.
2. Membership: 33 members as of this meeting date. The membership e-mail list will be rechecked for errors as some were noted.
3. Website: Suggestions were made to move the events tab to the front page. New topics to include Give Beer Advice and Write a Column. Security was discussed. WEB PAGE MASTER NEEDS HELP!!! MEMBERS PLEASE VOLUNTEER. SEE OR CALL JEFF.

New Business
1. Next Months meeting and brew at Lloyd and Ruth's house in White Hall, MD. Watch for updates. Meeting date is Saturday Match 31st at 9:00 A.M. Bring a dish to share for the noon feeding. Beer Suggestions include: Maibock, Maerzen with Ale Yeast, Belgian Wit, Milk Stout, and Wheat Beer. Call Tom with your selection. Majority rules, so get your choice in early.
2. Next general meeting, April 16th 2007 at The Thirsty Brewer 7:00 P.M.
3. Other important dates: BIG BREW May 5, 2007. Details at the April meeting.
4. Thanks to all who brought goodies to share during the meeting. The Pizza was excellent and the brownies were moist and chocolaty.

Meeting was adjourned.
The after meeting information session was a talk by Tom Davidson on grains and the malting process. The qualities of each kind were discussed as samples were passed for everyone to inspect. Excellent job Tom!!! The information was extremely helpful.
